Fictional characters that are household names

Some fictional characters’ names have entered the everyday vernacular. Some have even turned into verbs!
You’re a real ‘Pollyanna’ ; Can you find it Sherlock? etc.

Some of the names are known by readers and non-readers alike mostly due to the fact that fictional characters from books are now the characters of movies and television shows.
Harry Potter
Some prime examples are: Hannibal Lecter, Harry Potter, Miss Marple, Jason Bourne, Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, Oliver Twist, Scrooge, Peter Pan, Cracker, Inspector Morse, etc.
